Ideologia della interpretazione psicoanalitica
Dr. Hollander offers a paradigm for conceptualizing the interface between social power, ideological hegemony and unconscious affects and defenses. This provides a context for exploring the social matrix of individual and group psychic conflict. She elaborates a social psychoanalysis that takes account of how ideology is manifested in the transference/countertransference relationship, the recognition of which makes for a more holistic and profound analytic experience. Hollander’s work in Latin America and the United States with psychoanalysts engaged in a “psychoanalysis beyond the couch” illustrates the contributions to our field made by colleagues who use psychoanalytic theory and clinical insight to treat diverse populations deeply affected by class, racial and gendered inequities in times of social, economic and political crisis.
